Thousands attended Arkansas City's Arkalalah "Big Parade" 2010 Saturday.

The "Big Parade" began at Wilson park and ended at Adams Avenue. Float after float lined Summit Street north of Pine. This year's event theme is "A Day at the Beach."

A "Parade of Lights" float presentation will begin tonight at 8:30 p.m. on the corner of Summit and Birch. Attendance is expected to be high for a spectacular showing of twinkling lights. The day was launched with the Kiwanis Pancake Feed, the Doubles Horseshoe Tournament and the Arkalalah 2 Mile Run. The annual event began Saturday, October 23 with The Medallion Hunt.
