SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A vigil to remember slain 10-year-old Springfield girl Hailey Owens drew thousands late Saturday night.

A crowd carried candles down Commercial Street in Springfield to remember the girl. Some estimates pegged the turnout at more than 10,000 people.

Police said she was abducted on Tuesday while walking to a friend's house. Her body was later found in the home of Craig Michael Wood, an employee of the Springfield School District.

Wood pleaded not guilty in court on Friday.
