UPDATE: Teen in fair condition after being hit by truck

EL DORADO, Kan. — An El Dorado teen is recovering after he was hit by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the 16-year-old was struck by the truck after he road his bicycle into the path of the truck, which was turning onto K-254 and Haverhill Road.

He was transported to Wesley Medical Center where the he is now listed in fair condition.

A teenage boy has been rushed to a Wichita hospital after being hit by a dump truck in El Dorado.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highway 254 and Haverhill Road. Dispatchers say a 15-year-old boy was riding his bicycle when he was hit by the truck. He was taken to the hospital suffering from serious injuries.
