WICHITA, Kan. -- One man was arrested Thursday afternoon following a reported robbery at a west Wichita credit union.

It happened just before 3:30 p.m. at the Credit Union of America at 212 South Ridge Road. That's just north of Maple.

Police said a man in his 50s walked into the credit union and handed the tellers a note demanding money. He was able to get away with an unknown amount of cash, but police soon arrested him near Central and West Street.

It's not known if the suspect was armed. No injuries were reported.
