A teacher in Andover received a birthday surprise she'll likely never forget. Last week, Hillary Barscewski's first grade class released 30 balloons with notes inside asking those who found the balloon to wish their teacher a happy birthday.
Natalie Donges and her husband found one of those balloons at their home in El Dorado. On Monday, the couple went above and beyond the students' request by surprising Barscewski and her class with birthday treats.
Donges says she was inspired by the students and wanted the teacher's birthday to be special.
"I thought it was a good lesson and I love children. It was my husband's idea. We just want kids to learn and I want to wish her a happy birthday, too," said Donges.
The class is still waiting for more responses from the balloon release, but they all say it was an awesome experience.
