Strong storms and snow possible across portions of KAKEland

WICHITA, Kan. -- Showers and thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into the overnight hours across southeast Kansas. While Wichita could experience a brief thunderstorm, they will likely not be severe. Stronger storms capable of producing large hail and damaging wind will be possible east of Wichita.

As cold air invades KAKEland, light snow will be possible along and north of I-70. A trace to 2" possible through Thursday morning. High winds will also be a factor on Thursday. Wind gusts across Western Kansas will top off near 60mph,
