Stabbing suspect arrested in Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON, Kan. - An overnight stabbing in Hutchinson left one person wounded, and another in jail.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday night in the 300 block of North Grandview.

Officers say a 37-year-old man had been stabbed once and had multiple cuts to his hand. He was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. A woman in the home had also been threatened with a knife.

Richard Manwarren Sr., 46, was arrested on aggravated battery and aggravated assault charges.

Police did not disclose what led to the stabbing, but an officer said he believes alcohol was involved.
