South Haven man dies in Wellington crash

Wellington, Kan. -- A South Haven man is dead, following a crash in Wellington Saturday afternoon.

It happened shortly before 1 p.m. at Highway 160 and Williams Drive near the Walmart. Newscow.com reports that a Wellington woman was eastbound in a Honda minivan on U.S. 160 when a 1999 Ford Ranger, driven by 67-year-old James Foote, pulled out into traffic attempting to make left turn.

The two vehicles collided at the intersection. Foote was taken by medical helicopter to Via Christi-St. Francis where he later died.

Four people inside the minivan were treated for minor injuries.
