Police are investigating after shots were reportedly fired at two men hosting a late night garage sale in southwest Wichita.

The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of South Hiram Avenue. Wichita Police Sgt. Bruce Watts said the two men, ages 31 and 40, were outside hosting the sale when six teenage males showed up at the residence.

The two parties began arguing and the teens allegedly flashed gang signs, Watts said. The six teens then ran down Hiram, but two of them stopped, pulled a handgun and began firing at the two men at the residence. No one was hurt.

Police responded and found several shell casings. No arrests have been made, and suspect descriptions were not provided.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
