Sedgwick County sheriff's deputies arrested 12 people for various offenses during a DUI saturation patrol over the weekend.
The patrol took place at an undisclosed location in the county late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
In all, three adults were arrested for DUI, four on drug charges, one for driving while suspended, another for transporting an open container and three for other warrants. In addition, 37 citations were written for various traffic violations.
According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, the operation was funded by a Kansas Department of Transportation grant.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office will conduct a DUI saturation patrol in an undisclosed part of the county this weekend.
The sheriff's office says the patrol is an effort to decrease the number of intoxicated drivers. It will begin Saturday night at 11 p.m. and end at 3 a.m. Sunday morning.
Since January 1, deputies have worked 189 DUI-related cases.
