Boaters heading to El Dorado Lake for Labor Day weekend will have to do a little extra planning.
The Shady Creek Marina is still closed because of damaged caused by a wind storm almost a month ago.
"This damage is beyond what our normal capabilities of repair are," said Shady Creek Marina Owner Mike Morgan. "So we had to call in the big guns and unfortunately they're pretty busy but they promise me they'll get to us as soon as they can."
While Shady Creek waits for the professional dock crew, they are providing a ferry to get slip holders out to their boats.
But the marina will be closed this Labor Day weekend and the rest of the season. That means no gas, no ice and no electricity.
"It's too bad, it's going to be a busy weekend, weather's warm," said boater Tom Hendrix. "I'm sure they're going to miss out on a lot of business, and it's an inconvenience for the boaters too."
Because of the storms though, water is up, so once you get out to your boat, it should be smooth sailing.
