Severe thunderstorm watch issued for western, central Kansas

It could be a stormy night in parts of Kansas.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9:00 p.m. for counties in west and central Kansas. Wichita and Sedgwick County are not in the watch area.

Counties in the watch area are Barber, Clark, Comanche, Edwards, Finney, Ford, Gove, Gray, Greeley, Hamilton, Harper, Haskell, Hodgeman, Kearny, Kingman, Kiowa, Lane, Logan, Meade, Ness, Pawnee, Pratt, Scott, Sherman, Stafford, Thomas, Wallace and Wichita.
