Severe thunderstorm watch issued in western Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. -- A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued in western Kansas.

The watch is in effect until 12 a.m. Central Time and 11 p.m. Mountain Time.

The main threats with the storms will be damaging wind gusts and large hail.

Counties included in the watch are:

Cheyenne, Decatur, Finney, Gove, Grant, Greeley, Hamilton, Haskell, Kearny, Lane, Logan, Morton, Rawlins, Scott, Seward, Sheridan, Sherman, Stanton, Stevens, Thomas, Wallace, and Wichita.
