The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several counties in western Kansas until late tonight.

The watch includes Clark, Finney, Ford, Gove,Grant, Gray, Haskell, Hodgeman, Kearny, Lane, Logan, Meade, Morton, Scott, Seward, Sheridan, Stanton, Stevens, Thomas and Wichita Counties until 11 p.m. CDT.

The watch also includes Greeley, Hamilton, Sherman and Wallace Counties until 10 p.m. MDT.

The primary threat for severe storms that develop today are gusty winds and large hail.
