A quick-moving severe thunderstorm rolled through Sedgwick County, leaving hundreds of people without power Friday afternoon.
Westar Energy reports that about 2,660 people lost electricity when strong winds blew through Wichita.
In the southeast section of the county, reports of golf-ball sized hail and 70 mph winds were possible. The strong winds also knocked down tree limbs in southeast Wichita.
More storms could move through south central and south east Kansas through the night.
