Sedgwick Co. homeowner stops burglary in progress

WICHITA, Kan Sedgwick County investigators said a homeowner stopped a burglary in progress and held the suspect until deputies arrived.

Sheriff's investigators provided information on the April 24th incident at this morning's briefing. Deputies were called to the home near 2300 North 135th West at 2:44 a.m. Deputies found the homeowner was holding an intruder at gunpoint.

The homeowners said he woke up to the sound of his dogs barking and his front door being forced open. Deputies arrested a 23-year-old Goddard man on charges of Vandalism and criminal trespass.
