Wichita police search for convenience store robber

WICHITA, Kan. — A man armed with a pistol robbed a Wichita convenience store Tuesday night.

Police say the holdup occurred around 10:30 p.m.at the former Phillips 66 station at 21st and North Woodlawn. The robber never opened fire, and no one was hurt. The store staff handed him an unknown amount of cash.

Police say they're looking for an African-American man is his forties or fifties. He wore a black hoodie and sweatpants, along with black-rimmed sunglasses. The gunman also carried a backpack into the store.
