The Wichita Police Department is investigating vandalism to a downtown Wichita sculpture that is commonly referred to as "The Troll."

Damage to the 7-foot bronze sculpture, located under a drainage grate near the Westar building at 777 W. Central Ave., was discovered today by city employees. One of the troll's arms is missing. It is not known at this time when the vandalism occurred or what is the cost for repairs.

The public is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 with information relating to the crime.

"The Troll" was sculpted by local artist Constance Ernatt and installed in 2007 during the Keeper of the Plains Plaza project.
