Sculpture vandalized in Old Town

WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita Police are investigating the vandalism of a sculpture in Old Town.

Damage to the six-foot plaster, fiberglass and enamel sculpture known as "Hover" was discovered today. It's located near 2nd and Mead.

It is not known when the vandalism occurred or how much it will cost to repair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111 or Wichita Police investigations at (316) 268-4407.

"Hover" was sculpted by Nashville artist Jeremy Jones and displayed as part of the Sculpture WalkAbout Project sponsored by the Arts Council.
