A bus carrying elementary school students was involved in a crash Friday afternoon in downtown Wichita.
It happened just before 5 p.m. at East 1st Street and Wabash, just east of Washington. Wichita Public Schools spokesperson Susan Arensman said the 30 kids on the bus are College Hill Elementary students.
Dispatchers said the bus collided with a pickup, but further details were not immediately available.
One student had a bloody nose, Arensman said, and no other injuries were reported.
Several parents arrived on scene to pick up their children. The district is also sending a replacement bus to finish the route.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Last month, a fire broke out at College Hill Elementary, forcing students and teachers to temporarily relocate to the formerly closed Bryant Elementary. Read more on that story here.
