A traffic jam may have contributed to a crash that sent two people to the hospital.
Emergency crews were called to the scene in the southbound lanes of Interstate-235 near Central just before 8 a.m. Monday.
Trooper Tyler Richecky, Kansas Highway Patrol, said traffic started to slow down, but one driver did not see the car in front of him slow down.
Two people were taken to nearby hospitals with critical and potentially serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

Drivers are asked to avoid the west Wichita bypass due to a serious injury accident.
It happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate-235 near Central just before 8 a.m. Monday.
Two cars were involved in the crash, but details have not yet been released.
One person was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, another person with potentially serious injuries.
