WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita Police have released new information in the case of a man who jumped from a Kellogg overpass yesterday.

It happened shortly before 11:30 Monday on Kellogg east of Seneca. Police said the 44-year-old man and his wife were driving westbound on Kellogg on their way to Mid-Continent Airport, when the man told his wife that he wanted to kill himself.

Officers say he then stopped the car, walked 40 feet and jumped, landing on the bike path below. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the couple had been in the U.S. for a short time, and were heading back home to South Korea.
