Reward Increased In Wichita Cold Case Homicide

Crimestoppers of Wichita & Sedgwick County has increased the reward in a cold case homicide. The reward is $2,000.

On the evening of January 25, 2009, 19-year-old Justin Cook attended a party at the Cambridge Suites hotel in the 700 block of South Main. A second party was also being held at the same location. A fight broke out in the hotel parking lot between several rival gang members who were attending both parties. As Cook and his girlfriend were leaving the party an unknown suspect fired one shot at his vehicle, striking him in the face. Cook died from his wound.
