A report published today indicates Spirit Aerosystems is looking for a buyer for its wing factory in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Reuters reported Spirit Aerosystems has hired Morgan Stanley to find a buyer for the plant which employs 3,000 people.
The report claims British aerospace and automotive manufacturer GKN is interested in the plant.
Spirit announced 360 layoffs in Kansas and Oklahoma Thursday. The company said the cuts were necessary to reduce overhead costs and improve company performance.
