WASHINGTON - Just in time for Independence Day, a brand of shell fireworks is being recalled. And it comes from an importer based in northeast Kansas.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports Contraband 24 canister shell fireworks kits have some tubes which may be too narrow. The shell might not be able to drop to the bottom of the tube during loading, and that could leave a hole in the tube.
There has been one report of a minor injury from this problem.
The fireworks kits have been sold since February for about $80. They were imported by Winco Fireworks International of Prairie Village.
