As some groups protest what they see as the use of excessive force by Wichita police officers, another group is launching a counter protest.
The group, which included the wives of several police officers, demonstrated in front of Wichita City Hall on Friday.
Those taking part in the rally say they want the public to know they think local police are doing a great job.
"They never know what they're walking into. They have to go unprepared and they have to defend themselves because, just like you and I, they want to come home at night to their families, to their wives, to their children," said supporter Amy Murray.
Members of the group say they are not against anybody or trying to be disrespectful to other protesters. They say they want to spread a positive message.
