WICHITA, Kan. - Twenty-three year-old Kelsey Shaw was a near perfect student, working towards her degree in criminal justice. She lost her life just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Kelsey was outside the Biker Club near 9th and Cleveland early Sunday morning, a place many in the neighborhood say, has been bad news for a long time.
Janet Radig is the president of the neighborhood association near the Biker Club. She says the club's been a magnet for noise and trouble, for some time. Tracel Smallwood, a resident near the club, agrees.
"There's always drama there....but I'm used to it", says Smallwood.
Reggie Mcdaniel is the President of the Biker Club. He says he will help the family with burial costs, and that the criticism towards his club are unfounded.
The club will be holding a fish fry fundraiser and candlelight vigil in support of Kelsey Shaw, Tuesday night.
