Valerie and Mike Brumhoeber moved a home built in 1888 to a new plot of land in Sumner County with the intention of living in it...eventually.
They are spending much of their time restoring the home, which as they found out, use to be an old school house. They even found an old blackboard with remains of chalk writing on it.
The pair use other old buildings as a tourist attraction, a sort of living history museum.
The work put into the buildings took time and dedication. Restoring homes that are so old require so much, but the Brumhoeber's are doing it. They see the importance of the past, it helps them relax and it also helps other learn about the past
