PRATT, Kan. -- Gratton Curtis Odell has been taken into custody.
Sheriff Vernon Chinn, Odell was taken into custody in a joint operation with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Pratt County Sheriff's Office.
He was taken into custody without incident in Andover, near Andover Road and Cloud Avenue.
The Pratt County Sheriff's Office is searching for an escapee who they consider armed and dangerous.
According to Sheriff Vernon Chinn, 23-year-old Gratton Curtis Odell was released on a court-ordered furlough, but has since failed to return to custody.
Odell had been awaiting sentencing on aggravated robbery charges. He has also previously served prison time on other crimes. The sheriff says he is to be considered armed and dangerous.
He's described as a white male, about 6-feet 2-inches tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
In addition, Odell has a 'hangman's noose' tattoo on his neck and chest, a star tattoo on his right elbow, a cross tattoo on his right shoulder and the name 'Odell' on his left hand.
