Following the severe weather that hit Wichita and its' surrounding areas, the lights are out in many locations.
Most of the outages are confined to south, east and southeast Wichita, as well as Derby, Haysville and the Andover area.There are also other various locations across the rest of the city. Park City and Colwich also have a few locations staying dark.
As of 4:20 a.m. 14,530 customers of Westar Energy were without power in Sedgwick County. Crews are working across the city to restore power to as many locations as they can.
There are also outages in Reno, McPherson, Sumner, Butler, Marion, Dickinson and Saline counties with about 700 customers without electricity across these counties.
