Police search for suspects in Subway robbery

WICHITA, Kan. -- Police are searching for two suspects in connection to a robbery Sunday morning at a Subway restaurant in west Wichita.

It happened around 10:15 a.m. at the Subway near Central and Maize Road. Sgt. John Hoofer said one man entered the business and demanded money. It's not known if he had a weapon.

He fled the store with an unknown amount of cash and got away in a white Chrysler minivan that was parted around the corner, which was driven by a second suspect, Hoofer said.

The suspect who entered the store is described as a white man is his late 20s or early 30s with a shaved head. He was wearing a dark jacket, gray hoodie, and dark pants. A description of the second suspect was not available.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
