Police investigate robbery of SE Wichita convenience store

WICHITA, Kan. — Police are looking for the man who robbed a southeast Wichita convenience store last night.

Just before 9 p.m. Thursday, a man walked into the Presto store in the 2000 block of South Oliver with a gun and demanded money. He left with a small amount of cash, and no one was hurt.

He's described as a black male in his 20s, about 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds. He was wearing a purple hoodie, white shorts, white shoes, a black backpack and large sunglasses.

Late last week, the Presto store at Harry and Rock was robbed. In that case, the suspect was described as a black male in this 30s, about 6-feet tall and 250 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants, and used a backpack to cover his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
