Police investigate possible threat at Kansas high school

Police say a note found indicated possible violence may be committed.

SALINA, Kan. -- Police in Salina are investigating a possible threat at an area high school.

On Tuesday, a note was found by a school staff member at Salina Central High School. According to police, the note gave a vague description that there would be violence committed at the school.

The next day, a cell phone was found in one of the school offices that appeared to have been shot by a firearm.

The school has since increased security and is working closely with the police department.
