Police: Woman Slain In Kansas City Home

Police said a woman was killed inside a home in east Kansas City late Friday night.

Officers were called to 12100 block of East 46th Street around 11 p.m.

Kansas City Police Chief Darryl Forte said on Twitter that one person had been taken to the police station for questioning. He said police were waiting for a warrant to search the home where the homicide took place.

The victim's name and age have not been released, and police have not said how the woman died.
