Wichita police officers are looking for a man who allegedly poured gasoline on his girlfriend, then chased her with a lighter.
Around 5 p.m. on Sunday, a 34-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman went to gas station to get fuel for a lawnmower. During the trip home police say the pair began arguing over women, and the man reportedly poured a drink on her in the car.
When they got back to a home in the 1000 block of North Pershing, police say the woman got out of the car and hit the man's mower with a shovel. He responded by allegedly pouring the recently-purchased gasoline on her, then chased her with a lighter.
She ran into the home where her mother was, and they called 911. When officers arrived, he was no longer on scene. No one was hurt.
