Emergency crews are on scene of a fatal plane crash southeast of Derby in Sedgwick County.

Multiple fire and EMS units were dispatched to the area of 95th Street South and Webb Road around 10:15 a.m. and found a fiery debris field directly east of a cemetery in the area.

Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter said the plane split apart before impacting the ground, and was completely destroyed. A witness told KAKE's Chris Frank that he saw one of the wings fall off shortly before the crash.

The two men on board did not survive, Sheriff Easter said. They have been identified as 49-year-old Mitchell Morgan, who was piloting the plane, and 72-year-old Pastor Edward Dufresne. Easter said both victims are from Murrieta, Calif.

The FAA and NTSB have been notified and are on their way to the scene.

The FAA reports the plane is a 1975 Cessna 500 Citation 1, registered to Dufresne Inc. of Murrieta, California. The owner, Dr. Edward Dufresne, is a traveling minister based at World Harvest Chuch in Murrieta, California, southeast of Los Angeles. According to the itinerary posted on his website, Dr. Dufresne spoke at the Triumphant Faith Center in the 5100 block of South Seneca last night.

According to flight tracking websites, the plane took off from Mid-Continent Airport at 10:07 and was en route to New Braunfels, Texas.

Responders have closed 95th Street South between Webb and Greenwich and Webb between 87th and 95th Streets South. Check back for updates.
