Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson reports the Fire units at the grain elevator have declared the fire and danger have subsided. The evacuation order has been lifted and residence can return home. K61 highway and the rail line will be open shortly.

A dozens homes are being evacuated in Arlington, as a fire continues to burn at a grain elevator. One worker was burned in this morning's explosion.
Those people living in a quarter-mile radius around the elevator have been moved to the Arlington community building.
A mechanical lift arrived on the scene of a grain elevator explosion in Arlington a few hours ago. Since then emergency crews have ridden up to the top of the grain elevator for a closer look at the damage.
A KAKE News crew is on the scene now waiting to hear from the Reno County Emergency Manager, to find out more about the extent of the damage inside.
Traffic is still be detoured around the scene and police, fire fighters, and emergency workers are still on the scene working to determine what caused the explosion.

Emergency crews are waiting on a crane to arrive at the scene of an elevator explosion in a Reno county.
The blast shook the Cairo Co-Op in Arlington, around 7:25 a.m. Thursday. Crews arrived to find the headhouse on fire. Damage to the structure was minimal.
One person was taken to a Wichita hospital to be treated for minor burns. He is listed in serious condition.
Emergency officials have closed K-14 and K-61 around the town. A nearby railroad has also been shutdown. They said they are concerned a second explosion may occur.
The cause of the blast remains under investigation.

Emergency crews in Reno County are on the scene of a grain elevator explosion in Arlington.
Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson tells KAKE News the explosion was reported about 7:25 a.m. Thursday. He says all elevator employees have been accounted for. One employee has suffered minor injuries.
Henderson says fire is still visible in parts of the elevator and crews fear that could lead to another explosion. Traffic will be closed on K-61 and diverted to Arlington Road and Sterling Road for both directions.
Henderson said the fire broke out at in the elevator’s headhouse. Fire crews are waiting on a crane to lift them to the area.
