UPDATE: Men hurt in fight, stabbing at Lord's Diner

WICHITA, Kan. -- A man was taken to the hospital in serious condition following a stabbing in downtown Wichita.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the Lord's Diner in the 500 block of North Broadway.

According to police, two men were fighting when one allegedly pulled out a knife. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 38-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. He was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

Moments later, officers located the 47-year-old suspect with a folding knife they believe he used on the victim. He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries, then was booked for aggravated battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
