A 39-year-old Wichita motorcyclist was killed Friday night in south Wichita when he collided head-on with a small SUV.
The accident happened at about 9:25 p.m. near 45th St. South and Seneca.
The preliminary investigation shows the motorcyclist was trying to pass other vehicles and was driving northbound in the southbound lanes when the collision occurred, police said.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old male driver of the SUV and his 35-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries. Neither of them had injuries that required medical treatment.
