Oklahoma Amber Alert ends with child safe, father arrested

ENID, Okla. - A five-year-old northwest Oklahoma boy is safe and in protective custody, after he allegedly was kidnapped by his father.

An Amber Alert was issued around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, after Anastacio Reyes Jr. disappeared in Enid. Officers believe his 32-year-old father also named Anastacio kidnapped him Tuesday night, after attacking his mother with a knife.

Enid police tell KAKE News the boy was found in Texas County. The father was arrested there, and the alert was canceled around 3:30 a.m. Officers suspected they were heading farther west in the Oklahoma panhandle, for Boise City.
