North Wichita Home Hit By Gunfire

Police are investigating after a north Wichita home was hit by gunfire in an apparent drive-by shooting early Saturday morning.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of North Jackson Avenue. A 33-year-old man told police he and five others were inside the home when he heard 10 to 15 gunshots. Police responded and found several bullet holes in the back and side of the house.

No one was hurt. Sgt. Bruce Watts said people in the home ranged in age from one to 33.

Suspect and vehicle descriptions were not available. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
