A motorcyclist lost control at a Wichita railroad crossing early Friday, leaving him seriously injured.
The crash occurred around 1:10 a.m. at South Washington and Southeast Boulevard. Reports from the scene indicated several motorcyclists were riding together, when one of them lost control at the tracks.
A woman who says she witnessed the wreck left a note on the KAKE-TV Facebook page, saying the rider hit railroad tracks at a bad angle and went flying.
A railroad train approached the scene minutes after the wreck. But it apparently was moving slowly, because police were able to get it stopped until the wreckage was removed.
