A motorcycle rider has been rushed to the hospital after an accident during the morning rush hour.
It happened in the eastbound lanes of Kellogg near the Central Business District just before 8:30 a.m. Friday.
Police said a man in his early 50's had just merged onto Kellogg from Broadway, when he locked up his brakes and was thrown from the motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider was taken to a nearby hospital in extremely critical condition. First responders said the victim suffered from head injuries.
Traffic on Kellogg was reduced to two lanes as crews cleared the scene.
Investigators said the man was not wearing a helmet.
