A man has been taken into custody after police say he ran a red light and hit a motorcycle, then left.
The accident happened early Saturday morning at Harry and Oliver.
Acting on a tip, police found that the suspect was getting his car repaired at an area body shop. From there, they tracked down and arrested 27-year-old Gavin Moreno.
Moreno faces felony charges of hit and run, as well as failure to report an accident. He could be charged as early as tomorrow.
The 21-year-old victim remains in critical but stable condition.

A motorcycle rider was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run accident in southeast Wichita early Saturday morning. It happened just before 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Harry and Oliver.
Police say the 21-year-old victim was eastbound on Harry when a white four-door car heading south on Oliver ran a red light and clipped the man's motorcycle, causing it to crash into a light pole. Witnesses told police the driver of the car slowed down only briefly before leaving the scene of the accident.
The motorcycle rider was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. His name has not been released.
Witnesses say the victim and a group of friends had left a birthday party just before the accident. Anyone with information about the accident or the identity of the driver is asked to call the police.
