Garden City police has received reports that two men have been posing as Cox Communications workers.

Police said in a news release that between September 6 and 26, two Hispanic males have gone to a few residences in Garden City wearing Cox Communications clothing and asking for cash to upgrade their cable television services.

These individuals are not employed by Cox Communications, police said, and the only other description they have is that the impostors are driving an older white "beat up" car.

Police remind residents to remain vigilant when dealing with unsolicited offers and to make sure those you are talking to are actually who they say they are and their business is legitimate.
