A memorial fund has been established for an eight-year-old girl who died from a stray bullet.

Kimbra Moore was shot to death while she slept inside her south Wichita home early Tuesday morning. Police said her two siblings, ages 4 and 6 years old, were also sleeping in the same bed, but were not hurt.

Police have arrested two people in connection to the girl's shooting death. Zachary Gaston, 24, was booked into the Sedgwick County Detention Center Tuesday night. He faces charges of murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and two counts of shooting at occupied dwellings. Gaston is expected to make a first appearance in court Friday.

Officers also arrested a 28-year-old woman for aiding and abetting a felon.

A private funeral has been scheduled for Kimbra at 2 p.m. Friday.

The Kimbra Rose Moore memorial fund is being handled through:
