WICHITA, Kan. — Two dogs are missing following a house fire Thursday morning in far south Wichita.

The fire broke out before 7 a.m. at a home near 58th Street South and Broadway. Firefighters initially had trouble finding the home because the person who called it in had the wrong address and couldn't be reached again for further information.

When crews arrived at the right location, they found heavy smoke coming from the home.

The fire took about two hours to completely put out, but no one was hurt. A woman who lives there said she and her husband weren't home when the fire broke out., and now they can't find their two dogs. She's unsure if the dogs, Princess and Butters, got out of the home or are still inside.

Firefighters say the home is a total loss.
