Four people have been arrested following an early morning robbery at a Wichita McDonald's drive-thru.

An employee told police that around 3 a.m. Thursday, a car pulled up to the restaurant's drive-thru at 21st and Amidon and placed an order. He said that as the driver pulled up to the window, the driver left an unusual amount of space between the window and car.

During the transaction, a man came up from outside the car and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. After getting the cash, the man jumped in the car and sped away.

Wichita police officers later spotted a car matching the description near Kellogg and Broadway, and pulled it over. Evidence was found inside the car linking the occupants to the robbery. Two men, aged 24 and 21, along with two women, aged 19 and 17, were arrested.

The McDonald's employee was not injured during the robbery.
