Hoisington, Kan. -- Two men are in custody after they ran from a traffic stop in Barton County.
Sheriff Brian Bellinder says it began just after 9:30 a.m. when a deputy tried to stop a car heading northbound on Highway 281. The driver refused to stop and it lead to a high speed chase that lasted about 15 minutes.
The driver eventually lead deputies south into Hoisington where the suspect hit stop sticks just inside the city. Both men inside the car then fled on foot.
Jonas Grub was captured a short distance away. He was wanted on outstanding warrants in Barton County and Great Bend.
The second man, Jason McKinnon was found shortly after 3 p.m. hiding in an outbuilding. He was wanted out of Virginia for parole and weapons violations.
Sheriff Bellinder thanked the public for helping to locate the suspects.
