WICHITA, Kan. -- Police are searching for two suspects in connection to a shooting early Sunday morning at a party in northeast Wichita.
It happened around 2 a.m. near 23rd Street North and Poplar. Sgt. John Ryan said the 21-year-old victim was at the party when he was approached by two men who fired six or seven shot at him.
The victim later showed up at Wesley Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his right calf. He has since been treated and released.
Detailed descriptions of the two suspects were not provided.
Ryan said investigators don't believe this was a random act, and they may not be getting the whole story. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
